"God helps those who help themselves..."

What to do

  • If Candida appears to be a problem eat a yeast-free, sugar-free diet. Take garlic, a good acidophilus, and possibly a prescribed anti-fungal drug.
  • A "leaky gut" and overloaded liver are key factors in this miserable scenario. If you can get this right, you will be a long way along the road to recovery.
  • Pay attention to what you eat, how much you eat, and how often you eat any particular food. Aim for a healthy diet based on a variety of fresh organic foods and easily assimilated proteins.
  • Nutritional supplements are extremely helpful - extra vitamins, minerals, digestive aids, and essential fatty acids, etc.
  • See a good natural therapist.
  • If it seems likely that chemical exposure may have caused the symptoms, keep careful records of such exposures and any further exposures and symptoms for possible ACC claims.

What else can you do about it?

The overriding message is:
"Unload the nasties - then build the goodies"

  • Take plenty of rest to enable your body to heal itself.
  • Find out your limits and remain within them.
  • Reduce all possible forms of stress.
  • Clean up your environment. Get rid of moulds, mothballs, gas cookers and heaters.
  • Avoid fumes from petrol, paint, new carpets, etc.
  • Aim for natural fibres and substances in your home and on your body.
  • Use stainless steel or pyrex cooking ware, rather than aluminium.
  • Microwave cooking is not desirable.
