The Soil and Health Association promotes a sustainable (and profitable) agriculture by natural organic methods, such as composting without the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides. The Association works towards healthy community by encouraging practices which create healthy soil, which will produce healthy agricultural products.

The keep Christchurch Beautiful Campaign is a volunteer run campaign which aims to increase public awareness of litter, rubbish and related environmental problems and to find ways of solving them.
